It's a shame that I totally missed out on the release of this song, because I really like Jamie xx/the xx. His music connects to my soul on a level I can't even express in words or emotions. So, today I heard this for the very first time, and, I'm going to be completely honest with you, I was in sincere ecstasy. I cried, I laughed, the song touched me in every way possible. And I know it sounds so bizarre, but it's always that one song that gets to you. You can hide, but the song comes to find you. 

Why the fuss, you may ask? Well, lyrics have never applied to my life so well. I'll explain. In my life I came across two guys who totally swept me of my feet. It was two times, that I really had fallen in love, and sadly things didn't work out. But that's where the problem comes lurking around the corner. You see, I get attached too easily. I grow towards people, but people don't always grow on me, you know.  After the aftermath, I find myself still thinking about them, not being able to let them go. Every now and then, in my head I stumble upon those faces again, the things we shared, places we visited and the conversations we had. And not in that cliché kind of way, I've seen that, I've been there. It was different.

The girl sings that she is going to these parties where she desperately looks for someone to go home with, and she hopes that she can find that connection again she once had. But that's not how those things work, she is trying to hard. So she starts thinking about this guy she used to see, and wonders if he will ever find someone who was just like her. Will there ever be someone who can replace her, and vice versa, will she ever find someone like him?  She just can't seem to lay her finger upon it. But she aches, god, how she aches.
